APPLE FLAUTAS
2 cans apple pie filling
or use your own recipe for pie filling
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 flour tortillas

Grease a 9×13 inch casserole, or line with foil. Pour ¼ cup apple pie filling in center of flour tortillas and roll, enchilada style. Set aside. Bring butter, sugars, cinnamon, and water to a boil in Dutch oven, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over enchiladas and let stand 45 minutes, allowing the syrup to soak into the tortillas, creating a dough. Bake a half hour at 350 degrees. Note: I’ve used pre-cooked and uncooked flour tortillas and it came out great.
