Lemon Whippersnappers

(Adapted from “Candy Cane Murder,” by Joanne Fluke)

1 box lemon cake mix

2 cups Cool Whip

1 large beaten egg

1/2 cup powdered sugar, in separate  bowl

Combine all ingredients, except the powdered sugar. Stir until it’s well mixed. Drop by teaspoon into the bowl of powdered sugar and roll to coat the cookie dough. Place on greased cookie sheet, 12 cookies to each sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes before moving cool completely on a wire rack.

Makes 4 dozen
