FRUITY FRENCH TOAST CASSROLE

6 cups diced bread

5 eggs

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup fresh blueberries, or diced apples, or sliced bananas or all 3

¼ cup butter, melted

 

Grease casserole.

Cut bread into small pieces.

In separate bowl: mix eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.  Pour over bread and stir to wet all the bread. Stir in fresh fruit. Arrange evenly in prepared casserole dish.

Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees

Pour melted butter over casserole and serve. Garnish with syrup or powdered sugar.
