ETHEL’S SUGAR COOKIES

¾ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Blend butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients and chill 1 hour. Roll out with rolling pin. Cut into shapes and bake 6-8 minutes at 375 degrees until lightly browned.
