AOA Pie Crust
I have found a good pie crust recipe. It is easy to work with and tastes good. – June 2014
For one crust:
Stir 1/4 teaspoon of salt into 1 and 1/4 cup of flour.
Cut in 1/2 cup cold butter until it resembles cornmeal.
Mix in 1/4 cup cold water and DO NOT OVERWORK.
Roll out larger than pie tin, roll dough up on rolling pin and unroll on top of pie tin so it does not stretch or rip during transfer from board to tin.
15 min in a 375 oven if you are going to bake it empty, if not, just follow your pie recipe baking instructions.
PIE CRUST COOKIES
I rolled out the extra dough, sprinkled sugar on it, rolled it up and cut them into tiny little cinnamon roll shapes, baked them for 10 min and they were crunchy little cookies.
